The new Maruti Suzuki (Nexa) Baleno is for several reasons one of the most important cars for Maruti Suzuki. As per premium car blog topclasscars, this car has been launched with three drivetrains 1.3 DDiS diesel manual and 1.2 VVT petrol manual and CVT. The first impression that you would get from this car is that it is one of the most spacious cars among the hatchbacks. This car is the new definition of the premium hatchback. This premium hatchback will be manufactured in India only and will be exported to the world. It will be sold through the Maruti Nexa showrooms that already sell the S-cross SUVs of the carmaker.
Interiors
The interiors are very spacious and all the credit goes to the intelligently planned layout and design. Even though the wheelbase is small when compared to i20 and Jazz, space is generous. The cabin has all black finish which gives it a sporty and dynamic look. Thus, it is comfortable and spacious.
The cabin is full of high-end products. It has a smartly designed instrument cluster highlighted in blue. The dials are simple and the top trim consists of the TFT info-display screen in the middle. This screen gives you trip information such as distance, mileage, time take, outside temperature, gear change indicator and much more.
Exterior
While the Maruti Suzuki Baleno looks decent, it cannot be called trendy. The car looks modern, decent and relevant, but there’s nothing extraordinary about the looks. The high trim variants look better with the 16-inch alloy wheels, a better-looking headlamp cluster and LED daytime running lights. The headlights on the lower trims are very similar to the Swift’s; however, they have a chrome cutting element through them.
The signature LED also gives a good touch and a separate identity to this model. The sides of the car have a flowing design along with muscular bulge in the middle that flares out at the rear fender. The rear is one of the best features of the car when it comes to the looks. The taillights also provide some identity to the car. Overall the design is smart and functional.
Features
The infotainment system offers a radio or media players, navigation and also responds to a few basic voice commands. Though it works well, it lacks the shortcut keys on the system. Thus, to access anything you always need to get back to the home screen.
The CarPlay works fine. The top trim also provides keyless entry, a telescopic and tilt steering, keyless entry and a start top button that is placed in a manner that it is easily visible to the driver. When it comes to safety, the car offers dual airbags, the standard seatbelts with pre-tensioners and ABS. The engine is the same 1.3 engine with the 74bhp version.
